Global Health Care Group is looking for contract Pharmacist to provide services for the inmates incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Englewood, in Littleton, Colorado.

Available Position: One (1) Pharmacist.

Work Hours: The contractor will provide an estimated eight (8) hours per week on a as needed basis throughout the year.  The contract may include an estimated 450 one-hour sessions during the year, per the requirements of FCI Englewood.  Hours of work shall be during the normal duty hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p. These hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the FCI.

Work to be performed at:  The Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Englewood, located at 9595 W Quincy Ave, Littleton Colorado 80123. Services will be performed in the pharmacy located within the Health Services Department of the FCI.

Facility Information: The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Englewood in Littleton, Colorado, is a low security facility housing male offenders. The institution also has an administrative detention center and an adjacent satellite prison camp for minimum security male offenders. FCI Englewood is located 15 miles southwest of Denver, off U.S. Highway 285 and South Kipling Street.

Description of Duties
1. Reviewing and verifying appropriateness of prescriptions
2. Reviewing patient medical records for allergies
3. Filling prescriptions
4. Physically checking prescriptions filled by authorized medical staff, including the pharmacy technician and prescribing clinicians, and documenting the verification beside the medical record entry (prescription)
5. Ensuring local and national formularies are utilized by the clinicians
6. Maintaining adequate inventory of medications
7. Providing information to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee on a quarterly basis or as needed

Education and Experience
 The contractor must possess the professional licensure which are required to provide pharmacist services, and must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certified, in accordance with the basic life support authority. The contractor must provide evidentiary documentation of required certification. 

Required Documentation includes:
  • Verification of professional licensure
  • Verification of certification in CPR
  • Valid Photo ID
Attire: The pharmacist will wear professional clothing appropriate for the correctional environment in which the contractor will be performing; scrub uniforms are acceptable.
