Global Health Care Group is looking for a Pharmacy Technician for an available contract opportunity to provide services at the 92nd Medical Group, Fairchild AFB, WA.

Available Position(s): Pharmacy Technician

Place of Performance: Fairchild AFB, WA, 99011

Work Schedule: Normal hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. 

Description of Services (includes but it is not limited to):
Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures.
Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders into databases.
Perform information consultation duties including supporting new and refill prescriptions, supporting patient requests, supporting physician’s requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drug reactions.
Perform quality improvement duties including performing drug storage inspection, reviewing expired supplies, and producing error and workload reports and documentation. A.2.5 Perform supply process duties including placing new orders, stocking/restocking shelves, inventory maintenance, producing not in stock reports.

QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Copy of valid, current, unrestricted state license and applicable Board Certification.
  2. Proof of Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
  3. Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician program accredited by the American Society of HealthSystem Pharmacists (ASHP), OR certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), OR successful completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program (i.e., a technical, hospital, or retail-based program). A.1.2 A minimum of 12 months of full-time experience within the last 36 months as a pharmacy technician.
  4. A minimum of 12 months of full-time experience within the last 36 months as a pharmacy technician.
  5. Working knowledge of computer applications/software to include Microsoft Office programs, MS Outlook (E- Mail), Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet familiarity is required.
  6. Contract personal shall have a working knowledge of the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) or equivalent such as the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technological Application (ALHTA), or MHS Genesis - the new Department of Defense (DOD) electronic health record (EHR), Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS) and Preventative Health Assessment and Individual Readiness.
