We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Rochester Psychiatric Center's Business Office.

Available Position:  Administrative Assistant - RPC is looking for one Administrative Assistant to be assigned to the facility's Business Office.

Client Facility: NYSDOH, Administration, 335 East Main Street, Rochester, NY 

Work Shift: 8:30am – 4:45pm

Assignment Duration: 09/03/2018 until 09/02/2020

Background:  The Rochester Psychiatric Center (RPC) provides psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation services that promote recovery.  Services include: Adult inpatient, residential, and community support programs; adolescent residential and community support programs; and forensic inpatient programs. The Administrative Assistant must complete RPC's Contracted Personnel Requirements, prior to commencing work. The selected vendor must agree to a Business Associate Agreement prior to the award.

Job Duties:  The individual will be responsible for purchasing items directly from State contracts, preparing and processing purchase orders and receiving bids on the open market according to procedures and guidelines and following up on compliance concerning purchases and requisitions; performing clerical audits for programs in which there are a large number and a variety of transactions, verifications, checks and computations; compiling data for the preparation of reports; processing vendor invoices; mailing and distributing checks from the patient cash system; filing paper work; sorting incoming mail; and acting as the receptionist for the Business Office.  Additionally, the individual may be responsible for one time projects such as establishing accounts in the facility’s new accounting software.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, Excel.
Knowledge of office administration and management; proper grammar, punctuation and spelling; business commun
ications and ability to take notes is necessary.
