We are looking for a Administrative Assistant, for a contract position at the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities in Buffalo, New York.

Position Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: 1200 East & West Road, Building 16-4W, Buffalo NY 14224

Work Shifts: ​Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm., 37.5 hours per week.

Assignment Duration: 12/10/2018 to 10/24/2020

Job Duties
  • Some of the job duties and responsibilities are:
  • Screen and direct incoming calls
  • Work with PDF documents and files, scanning, and emailing
  • Edit documents for grammar and content
  • Follow-up on assigned projects with limited oversight
  • Any other administrative support activities

Preferred Skill Sets
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and ask for direction when necessary
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to learn new computer programs quickly with appropriate assistance and support
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook
