We are looking for a Administrative Assistant, for a contract position at the Office of Investigations and Internal Affairs, in Binghamton, New York.

Position Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Office of Investigations and Internal Affairs, 249 Glenwood Rd., Binghamton, NY 13905

Work Shifts: ​Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm., 37.5 hours per week.

Assignment Duration: 12/10/2018 to 10/24/2020

Job Duties
  • Screen and Direct Incoming Calls
  • Assist with scanning and uploading documents and reports into the VCPR and IAMS
  • Provide support to the Lead Investigator in the Broome office
  • Provide support to the OIIA Death Unit as necessary
  • Provide support to, and interact with all investigators located in Binghamton and Norwich
  • Work with PDF documents and files, scanning and emailing
  • Edit documents for grammar and content
  • Scheduling interviews and interrogations
  • Follow-up on assigned projects with limited oversight
  • Any other administrative support activities which support the office and staff in field stations throughout the Region

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in highly sensitive work
  • Ability to work independently and ask for direction when necessary
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to learn new computer programs quickly with appropriate assistance and support
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Power Point, and Word
  • Typing 55 wpm
  •  Multi-tasker
