We are seeking an experienced nurses for an available contract opportunity to provide services at the McLaughlin IHS Health Center, McLaughlin, South Dakota.

Available Position: Registered Nurse and Licensed practical Nurse

Place of Performance: McLaughlin IHS Health Center, McLaughlin, South Dakota.
Work Schedule: Clinic hours are 8AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday. No overtime.

Period of Performance: date of hire until 05/24/2019
Description of Services (includes but it is not limited to): 
The contactor shall provide medical services at the Standing Rock Service Unit/McLaughlin Health Center. Services are in the form of a non-personal service healthcare contract to provide nursing and medical provider assistance to the patients in Outpatient Clinic.

The contractor shall perform nursing duties to include but not limited to obtaining vitals, chief complaint, triage, and entering data into an E.H.R.  Contractor RN/LPN will continue to monitor patient progress and assist provider in providing patient care which may include assisting during procedures such as, but not limited to, suturing, casting, IV therapy, injections, gynecological exams, and wound cultures, catheterizations, dressing changes, suctioning and irrigating of body orifices and incision and drainage. Contractor performs RN/LPN duties in the care of general adult medical, pediatric, and obstetrics in the outpatient, inpatient and emergency room settings under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Nursing. Contractor will be part of team which may include developing a plan of care for patients that other team members can refer to. Contractor will provide the patient/family with information and education for self-care. Contractor can recognize the need for and institute emergency measures when indicated. Contractor must be able to set up and manage specialized equipment such as suction, oxygen. Contractor will prepare patients for special laboratory tests, examinations and treatments. Contractor will perform other duties as assigned such as, but not limited to, instrument sterilization, paperwork, and inventory control.

This position requires successful graduation from an academic institution leading to a degree in Nursing. 
Shall have active nursing license in one of the fifty states with a minimum of one year nursing experience as an RN and a minimum of 2 year(s) experience as an LPN.
The LPN must have IV certification.
RN/LPN must both have current Basic Life Support.
