We are seeking three (3) licensed practical nurses for an available contract opportunity to provide on-site services for the inmates housed at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix, in New Jersey. 

Available Position: Three (3) Licensed Practical Nurses

Place of Performance: Services will be performed in the Health Services Department of the FCI Fort Dix, 5756 Hartford Rd, Joint Base MDL, New Jersey 08640.

Facility Information:  The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Fort Dix, New Jersey, is a low security facility housing male inmates. A satellite camp is located adjacent to the FCI and houses minimum security male inmates. FCI Fort Dix is located in Burlington County on the Fort Dix/McGuire Air Force Base military installation.  It is approximately 40 miles from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and 30 miles from the New Jersey shore.

Work Schedule: The three (3) licensed practical nurses will work five (5) days per week, normally consisting of a total of forty (40) hours per week each, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 6:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M., with a 30 minute unpaid lunch period. The Contract Officer Representative (COR) will be responsible for defining each weekly schedule. The schedule is subject to change based on the variable needs of the institution and the unpredictable nature of the correctional environment.

Period of Performance: 5.5 years, renewed on an annual basis. It is anticipated that the contract award will be made in January 2019 with a START DATE of April 15, 2019.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:
Education and Experience The contractor does not have to have experience as a licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse. (One year of experience is preferred but not required). The contractor must have graduated from an accredited school or training program for Licensed Practical Nursing or Licensed Vocational Nursing; and be CPR certified. Contractor must submit with their quota-tion, resumes, copies of current certification/licensing and other credentials as in accordance with all federal, state, and local requirements. The contractor must be registered/licensed with the proper authorities to practice in any state in the United States. One year, or more of experience in a correctional environment is preferred, but not required.
Supplies and Equipment: the LPNs are expected to provide their own stethoscope. All other supplies and equipment the contractor may need for LPN services will be determined and provided by the government. 

Non-Personal Services: The service is a contractual arrangement for and not a personnel appointment.
