We are seeking a Registered Dietitian for a contract position at the NYSDOH Div. of Nutrition, Metropolitan Regional Office,in New York City. 

Available Position: Registered Dietitian

Client Facility: NYSDOH Div. of Nutrition, Metropolitan Regional Office, 90 Church St, 14th Fl, New York, NY 10007

Work Shift: 7.5-hour shift between the hours of 7:30 am – 5:30 pm - discretion of the hiring unit, Monday – Friday, excluding NYS Holidays.

Assignment Duration: 12/10/2018 to 12/10/2020

Candidates should have experience completing the following tasks:
Planning and conducting public health and/or nutrition education programs to assist in health promotion.
Developing training and resource materials related to nutrition assessment, nutrition education, and related health services.
Assisting in the development of new program policies and/or the revision of existing policies based on specific regulations, such as USDA Federal Regulations.
Contract monitoring to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.
Providing programmatic guidance and technical assistance.
 
Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian with The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or has completed an accredited nutrition and dietetics internship program and is eligible for Registration.
Experience working for a Federally-funded nutrition program, such as Women, Infants and Children (WIC).
Experience working in a governmental setting.
Familiarity with New York State systems and terminology.
Experience working in a fast paced, office setting, conducting a wide range of administrative tasks to support program operations.
Experience with Microsoft Office Software, including Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and Word, Access and PowerPoint.
