We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist for an available contract opportunity to provide services from 11/01/2018 through 12/31/2019 for the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF), Navajo Area Indian Health Service (IHS).

The Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF) is based in Chinle, Arizona (Northeast Arizona near Canyon De Chelly National Monument). The CCHCF is a 60 bed hospital which serves as the health care hub for the region. The medical staff includes Family Physicians, Internists, Pediatricians, General Surgeons, OB/GYN's, Anesthesiologists, and a Psychiatrist. In addition to routine outpatient and inpatient primary care, services available to our patients include: Adult Intensive Care, General Surgery (including laparoscopic surgery), routine and operative Obstetrics, and 24-Hour Emergency Room Services. Health care services are provided to approximately 37,000 active users. Strong Navajo cultural traditions exist within the community, offering an opportunity to learn the Navajo language, or to learn about traditional Navajo medicine. The service unit is located on the Colorado Plateau with excellent opportunities for photography, hiking, running, road biking, cross country skiing, and mountain biking. Canyon de Chelly National Monument is within 5 miles of the hospital and is a wonderful place for exploring and sightseeing, running and mountain biking.

Clinic Hours:  The Contractor shall work from 7:00AM - 6:00PM or 8:30AM - 7:30PM Monday to Friday. Each shift schedule shall have a 1 hour lunch break.

Pharmacist Duties:
The Contractor shall perform pharmacist duties and work under the general technical administrative supervision of the Tsaile Health Center Pharmacy Supervisor.
As a Pharmacist you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to American Indian and Alaska Native beneficiaries. Duties include comprehensive professional nursing services to patients with variety of injuries and illnesses, perform a wide range of care for patients in all age groups with different health related problems, prepares patients for tests, exams, treatments, etc. provides counseling and teaching to patients and families on preventive, curative, rehabilitative measures, maintain professional knowledge and proficiency in continuing education, attends staff meetings and workshops in the nursing filed and may be called upon to our satellite clinic if needed. Our facility is seeking individuals who possess good organizational skills which enable completion of work, a demonstrated ability to assume leadership in a patient centered program, and the ability to establish effective communication with patients, families, visitors and members of the interdisciplinary team.

Position Requirements/Qualifications
Experience. The Pharmacist shall have thirty-six (36) months of pharmacist experience, with a minimum of twelve months (12) in the specialty required by the contract, unless otherwise approved by the Contracting Officer.
License/Registration. All pharmacist shall be board certified or board eligible in family practice and possess a current, valid, unrestricted physician license in any state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States, throughout the term of this contract.
Certifications. Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) is mandatory.
Orientation. All pharmacist providing service under this contract shall attend mandatory orientations and training specified by the government.
