We are seeking an experienced Switchboard Operators for a contract position in Albany, NY.

Available Position: Administrative Assistant

Client Facility: NYSED, ACCES-HSE Office, 89 Washington Ave., Room 460 EBA, Albany, NY 12234

Work Shift: Two full time positions. Monday - Friday, 8:45-4:45 PM, 7.5 hrs (with a 30 minute lunch break).

Assignment Duration: 10/01/2018 to 03/31/2019

Scope of Work: The temporary workers will assist phone operators with the HSE hotline (approx. 40,000 call per year), the HSE walk-up window (approx. 1,800 visitors per year), the processing of public requests for duplicate diplomas (approx. 35,000 documents per year) and other clerical duties, siuch as assist with hot-line calls and HSE window; input candidate names and addresses into the database; check and update addresses and other information to ensure accuracy; look up records in database, card file, microfiche or books; process requests for duplicate diplomas and transcripts; prepare documents for mailing; enter Attachment H, R, and others as required; file records; review reports and isolate discrepancies; make calls to verify information, as needed; other clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 
The successful candidate should be dependable, highly-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously.
Minimum qualifications:
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel; the ability to work on a team and handle multiple, shifting priorities; good organizational skills; comfort conducting online searches, and familiarity working in electronic databases.
MUST have switchboard experience.
