GHG is looking for a Certified Phlebotomist Technician to provide services at the United States Penitentiary (USP) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Leavenworth, located in Leavenworth, Kansas 66048.
 
Position: Certified Phlebotomist Technician

Work Schedule: It is estimated 30 hours per week will be required for phlebotomy services. An anticipated schedule for the provision of phlebotomy services is Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays. (This anticipated schedule includes a 30 minute non-paid lunch break.) The schedule may be adjusted to meet the lab service needs mutually agreed between the contractor and the Government. If the contractor is not authorized entry because of an institution crisis, fog, or other unusual circumstance, the government's liability will be limited to a one (1) session to compensate for the drive time for the day the circumstance occurred. USP Health Services Staff will make every attempt to notify the contractor of any circumstances preventing entrance to the facility.

Place of Performance: Services will be performed in the Health Services Units of the USP and the FPC located at; 1300 Metropolitan Ave Leavenworth, KS 66048

Facility Information: The United States Penitentiary (USP) in Leavenworth, Kansas, is a medium security facility housing male inmates and should be considered an FCI Medium. An adjacent satellite prison camp houses minimum security male offenders. USP Leavenworth is located 25 miles north of Kansas City, Kansas, on State Highway 73.

Basic Scope of Work (includes but it is not limited to):

 
Academic, Experience, and/ or Special Qualifications Required
Must be a Certified Phlebotomy Technician
The contractor phlebotomist must either have completed a 12-week Lab Technician Program, an approved state program, or possess an associate's degree.
The contractor phlebotomist must have at least six month experience as a Phlebotomist or Lab Technician in a clinical or correctional care setting.
The contractor phlebotomist  shall provide written documentation of certification (copy of all diplomas and/or certificates) that permits them to perform the services in this statement of work for the duration of the contract.
