GHG is seeking four Licensed Practical Nurses to provide on-site part-time nursing services for the Job Corps Center student body.
                                                  
Available Position: Four (4) Licensed Practical Nurses - 3 full-time and 1 part-time
 
Place of Performance: Keystone Job Corps Center, 235 West Foot Hills Drive, Drums, PA 18222.

Work Schedule:
LPN 1: Monday thru Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm.(40 hours per week)
LPN 2: Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm (40 hours per week)
LPN 3: Monday thru Friday 10:00am to 7:00pm (40 hours per week)
LPN 4: Saturday 9:00am to 3:00pm (part time)

Facility Information: Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 through 25 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. Job Corps Centers have classroom facilities, hands on trade education, cafeteria, health services, recreational facilities, and dormitories. During the students’ enrollment (typically during 8 months), Job Corps assists students in attaining and maintaining optimal health by providing basic on-Center health services to include promotion, prevention, assessment, intervention, and follow-up care. In addition, Job Corps strives to educate students regarding the connection between maintaining a healthy lifestyle and being employable.
 
Basic Scope of Work (includes but it is not limited to): 
  • Assists Wellness Manager to coordinate and provide medical, mental and dental services for students.
  • Complies with local and federal guidelines for the administration of all medications and maintenance of medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPPA and other applicable laws and regulations regarding patient privacy and the maintenance of medical records.
  • May assist in conducting cursory medical examinations for students. Performs first aid treatment, bedside patient care and other wellness services as required.
  • Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary environment within Wellness Services.
  • Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards.
  • Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
  • Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties.
  • Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
  • Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.
  • Provides quality programs and services for students and ensures that quality is maintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement of programs and services.
  • Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.
  • Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected.
  • Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students.
  • Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Period of Performance: August 15, 2018 through November 30, 2021

Position Requirements/Qualifications
The LPN must be licensed in the State of Pennsylvania.
Must have graduate from an accredited nursing school.
Must be CPR/BLS certified.
