We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist for an available contract opportunity to provide services at the Kayenta Health Center, Arizona.

Available Position:
   Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

Work to be performed at: Kayenta Health Center, Kayenta, Arizona 86033

Work Hours: The Supervisor at each IHS facility shall determine specific tour of duty (which includes any and all shifts: dayshift, evening shift, or night shift, on weekends, holidays needed to provide 24 hour, 7 day per week, patient care coverage. 

Housing may be available, depending on availability; local hotels are available. KHC is located in a remote part of the Navajo Indian Reservation.

Performance Period: date of hire through 12/31/2018

Required Tasks
A. Performs computerized radiography with GE Proteus XR/a equipment and operates teleradiology equipment and PACS equipment and all standard diagnostic x-ray procedures.
B. Receives patient, explains methods of procedure, positions patient and makes exposures necessary for requested examination.  Independently makes standard examinations.
C. Confers with Radiologists to establish requirements of nonstandard examinations and determines technical factors, positioning, number and exposure factors, etc., to satisfy requirements.     
D. Schedules patients for examinations; Evaluates the nature of critical and emergency procedures; rearranges patient priorities for accommodation purposes; maintains records of patients treated, examinations performed and images taken; maintains permanent record of examinations by entering proper information into Radiology Information System.  Performs appropriate clerical filing and maintains orderly records as needed;
E. Advises radiologist or referring physician of results of examination and provides them with a preliminary diagnostic evaluation; notifies them of significant findings requiring their immediate attention and visualization while patient is undergoing examination.  
F. Makes minor adjustments to equipment, sets up wedges and/or changes techniques; Operates the Carestream C-R Reader machine to process x-ray images 5

Qualifications
ARRT certification with CT endorsement.
CPR Certification
Proof of Education
