Available Position: Two  (2) positions to provide secretary/clerical duties to front office, divisions, and staff personnel. These two positions are currently located in Kansas City, Missouri.

Place of Performance: The place of performance will be at the Federal Government facility, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), National Information Technology Center (NITC), located at 8930 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri, 64114. When required by the Government, the Contractor shall also perform related activities at other Government and Contractor facilities within the local area. For the purposes of this requirement, local area facilities are defined as those within 50 miles of a Primary Place of Performance. Reimbursement for local area travel shall not be authorized.

Work Schedule: On-site services are generally required to be performed during the day shift (between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. local time), typically 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. A standard workday is defined as any eight hours of productive labor which must include the core business hours of 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Exceptions to standard day shift work schedules may be required and will be coordinated with the TM. Typical work weeks are 40 hours; however, if additional hours are needed, e.g., to complete a special project, they must be requested in advance. 

Period of Performance: Commencing on June 1, 2018 and ending on 5/31/2023.

Description of Services (includes but it is not limited to):
Clerical duties: filing, taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, distributing mail, making travel arrangements using Concur system (provided access is granted). This position will provide administrative support to executive and non-executive staff. Uploads documents to collaboration sites for which access is available.
Timekeeper duties (receive and address inquiries or discrepancies from employees, run reports, etc.) using USDA’s WebTA system (provided access is granted).

Position Requirements (Applicants without these requirements shall not be considered):
Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Candidate must interact with professionalism on the phone and in person.
Candidate must follow instruction and work independently, have the ability to multitask as required in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate must be able to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials.
Candidate must possess superior organizational, customer service, and communication skills (oral and written).

Minimum performance requirements:
Meets all deadlines as indicated by ACIO/TM.
Accurately proof reads reports/correspondence, making any necessary changes and assembles for routing for management’s signature.
Ensure ample time for meetings and other projects for the ACIO (keeping meetings on schedule), provides a printed copy daily of meetings.
Maintain ACIO internal files and can easily retrieve a document in the hard copy or soft copy (email) form.
