Global Health Care Group is looking for a Radiologist Technologist services to be rendered on-site for the inmate population incarcerated at the United States Penitentiary (USP) and Satellite Prison Camp (SPC) located in Pennington Gap, Virginia.

Available Positions: Radiologist Technologist.

Place of Performance: Radiology Technician services will be provided primarily, at the United States Penitentiary, Lee/SPC LEE located in the Health Services Department and when needed, throughout the institution utilizing mobile radiology equipment.

Facility Information: The United States Penitentiary (USP) - Lee in Jonesville is a high security facility housing male offenders.  An adjacent minimum security satellite prison camp houses male offenders. USP Lee is located in southwest Virginia in Lee County, 8 miles east of Jonesville, off U.S. 58 at the intersection of State Route 638.

Work Schedule: The contractor will normally work 8 hours per day, 2 days per week, for a total of 16 work hours per week, excluding Federal Holidays. Work hours will normally be between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. These hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the institution.

Description of Services (includes but it is not limited to): Complete x-ray studies ordered by the medical staff, prepare and send x-rays to the radiologist for interpretation and assure x-rays and reports are returned from the radiologist, complete and file all x-ray reports and other miscellaneous reports, assist the Health Services Administrator in the daily maintenance of equipment, monitor supply levels, and conduct quality assurance checks on the x-ray equipment as required.  The Radiologist Technologist will also perform any additional services, as required by the Health Services Administrator that are normally performed in the commercial scope of practice for this service, which may include administrative and clerical tasks. 
Period of Performance: 

Education and Experience
  1. Must be fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  2. Must also be licensed by the state of Virginia.
  3. Must have at least three or more years of work experience.
  4. Must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, in accordance with the American Heart Association.
  5. The contractor must possess and submit with their quotation, evidentiary documentation of their graduation from an accredited school of radiology technology. In the case of a company, the qualified individual selected to perform these services on behalf of the contractor must be identified at the time the quotation is submitted.
