Available Position(s):  Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

Place of Performance: The Arkansas School for the Blind, Little Rock, AK.

Work Schedule:  PTA: 557 hours per contract year.

There is no guarantee regarding the number of service hours required. Fluctuation of service hours should be expected during the contract period. The Contractor shall develop weekly therapy schedules, based on IEP team decisions and ASB, for all students. The Contractor shall work primarily within the ASB calendar and hours of operation. Therapy Service providers will be under the supervision and jurisdiction of the school and will provide services twelve (12) months of each year at the discretion of the ASB. The Contractor shall develop a weekly therapy schedule.

Period of Performance: Therapy Service providers will be under the supervision and jurisdiction of the school and will provide services twelve (12) months of each year at the discretion of the ASB.

The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to the following:  
Therapy services shall be provided to Pre-Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, and High School students at ASB. 
Current student count requiring therapy service provision is approximately (40) students. 
The student therapy service provision count will vary from year-to-year based upon the needs of the students. 
The Contractor shall participate in the development of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in conjunction with other ASB team members
The Contractor shall provide ASB students with a Therapy program as related to the IEP via direct, indirect, or consultative services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Physical Therapy Assistant
A physical therapy assistant must have, a minimum, of a bachelor’s degree or college level associate degree in physical therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. 
A physical therapy assistant must provide proof of current licensure by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy as a physical therapy assistant. 
A copy of current licensure should be submitted with the bid or prior to Anticipation to Award.
Subsequent license renewals must be provided when issued. 
The physical therapy assistant must be under the “supervision” (as defined by the Arkansas State Board of  Physical Therapy) of a qualified licensed physical therapist
