We are seeking a qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for an available contract opportunity to perform services at the Northern Navajo Medical Center located in Shiprock, New Mexico.

Available Positions:  Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Place of Performance:  Northern Navajo Medical Center located in Shiprock, New Mexico.
Period of Performance:  through December 31, 2018 

Tour of Duty: 
Weekday Shift Monday thru Friday 7am- 3:30pm 
*Call-back and On Call (carrying pager) 
Monday thru Friday and weekends 3:30pm -7am 
Saturday/Sunday/Holiday 24hours 
*All On-Call shall be paid as a separate rate 
Contractor must and is required to take a 30 minute break-non compensated 
Contractor cannot volunteer to work in other departments must stay in assigned area. 

Scope of Work:
The CRNA (hereafter referred to as the contractor) shall provide anesthetic care for patients at the Indian Health Service, Northern Navajo Medical Center, Shiprock, New Mexico.
The contractor shall provide anesthetic services for the operating room surgical cases patients and in other situations if the need arises. Such cases may include but are not limited to emergencies or procedures in places and may take place in any area of the facility. 
The contractor shall consult with members of the surgical and anesthesia staff on matters of patient care. 
The contractor shall insure that patients are receiving the proper anesthetic care. 
The contractor shall review clinical records and adhere to records documentation procedures to insure that records are properly maintained. 
The contractor shall be under the administrative supervision of the Chief of Anesthesia or his designee. The contractor’s provision of anesthetic care will be monitored by the Northern Navajo Medical Center’s quality assurance plan. 

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

Education: The CRNA must possess a current valid, unsuspended, unrevoked, unlimited, unrestricted, unchallenged license to practice medicine in any state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or Territory of the United States. 

Licensure: Must possess and maintain current State licensure while employed with Indian Health Service. Must possess a current DEA License.

Must possess a valid, current, full and unrestricted license from any State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States. 
Must be Board Certified, preferable in Family related medicine and demonstrate clinical experience. 
Must be a US Citizen 
Contractor shall furnish health status allowing physical and mental ability to carry out required functions. This is to be verified on an annual basis by the employing agency or a copy of a physical examination. 
The contractor must be credentialed and clinical privileges be granted by the Northern Navajo Medical Center clinical director or designee prior to providing services. 
The contractor must retain certification and licensure status throughout the term of the contract. 
Contractor shall furnish a current immunization for MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) Diphtheria and Tetanus and DT Booster, PPD Status, or as required by NA-HIS immunization policy. 
Contractor shall provide documents to complete security procedures to include finger print cards prior to the start date. 
Contractor is subject to character investigation as required by Public Law 101-630 The Indian Health Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act Prior to performance of a contract.
